The Czech Road Society The professional section Administration and Maintenance of Communications together with the branch of the Czech Road Society in Znojmo and Žďář nad Sázavou organizes the seminar every year the current issues of the administration and maintenance of roads. The focus and aim of the seminar is to acquaint the road public with the current problems of administration and maintenance, legal and technical regulations, new technologies of construction and maintenance of roads, traffic signs with links to road safety and an overview of pivotal mechanization.

The history of traffic engineering days dates back to 1987, when their organization was decided by the management of the transport engineering organization Brno and representatives of the branch of the Czechoslovak Scientific Technical Society. The first seminar under the working name of the Transportation Engineering Days took place in June 1987 on the premises of the Brno dam, in the building of the Yacht of the Club of the Transport Company of the City of Brno. This event was attended by representatives of the NVMB Transport Department and the Ministry of Transport. The event is organized by the Czech road company, branch at a.s. Brno Communications, Society of Brno Communications a.s., Transport Company of the City of Brno, a.s. and the Slovak pathway.
