The new Building Act is essential for the further development of our transport infrastructure and as the symposium showed, the RMD is ready for it. ”
Initiative was also introduced at the symposiumYoung Roads, a project focused on the young generation of future experts in construction. This project, created in cooperation with the CSS, aims to inspire and educate new talents who will participate in the future of the field.
Petr Mondschein, Chairman of the CSS, said:
“As a CSS, we are very pleased that we could participate in this, highly professional, symposium. I am grateful for how cooperation with the RMD currently works, and I was very pleased with the words of the CEO Mátl about the common functioning. At today's event we presented our new projectYoung Roads (YR), which I consider absolutely crucial for the future of our field. This project focuses on the young generation of future experts and its aim is not only to inspire, but also to provide educational support.
I am again grateful for how key state institutions have been involved in the YR project, namely the Ministry of Transport, RMD and the State Fund of Transport Infrastructure (SFDI), and I hope that our companies will gradually join it. Without the involvement of universities and enterprises, the complicated project will further develop.
I would also like to thank the partner of today's symposium, Biguma. Thanks to such support, we are able to organize educational projects and spread the expertise among Czech road workers, which I consider necessary for future generations of our experts. I would not like to forget to thank the Congress Center and Charles Ježek for the perfect organization on the spot ”
Martina Habancová from Biguma added:
“The theme of the new Building Act resonates in society quite intensively and we are convinced that your professional symposium will bring about the issue of road construction. We were also very interested in the idea of a new student projectYoung Roads, so we decided to support this project. ”
Pavel Šušák, member of the Czech National Committee (CNK), added:
“As part of the existence of the Czech National Committee and our cooperation with the RMD, this is our first common“ conference ”. It follows symbolically on cooperation in the organization of the World Road Congress and I believe that we will continue these activities in common efforts. Our goal is to enrich similar projects with foreign lecturers and bring international insights and expertise to them.
We are currently discussing topics such as decarbonization of building processes, influences of climate change on traffic infrastructure and resistance of road buildings. These questions do not only resonate only in the Czech Republic, but are solved across all 127 Member States of the World Road AssociationPiarc. Our ambition is to bring this expertise to the Czech Republic and within projects such as this symposium, to confront and supplement our experts with international experiences and proven practices of their foreign colleagues. ”
