Co -finance of repair of regional roads is not the content of SFDI budget for 2026!

As part of a two -day road conference in Brno, the directors of regional road administrations were also met for the first time in the format of a new professional, branch association, which is part of the Czech road company. Bc. Roman Hanák, who is also the director of the Administration and Maintenance of Roads of the South Moravian Region.
The ambition of the SÚS ČR association is cooperation across the Czech Republic, the exchange of road experience and the role of professional authority for public administration and for the design, investor and supply organizations operating in the road economy sector.
During the meeting with several topics, the common denominator for all regional administrations was the question of financing the planned repairs, including modernization on the entrusted road network.
"I consider this meeting to be quite crucial, not only the exchange of experience has also been exchanged, but also the issue of road infrastructure," said Hanák said that he welcomed the presence of SFDI director Zbyněk and Tomáš Blecha Engineering, security and strategies of the Transport Research Center Pavel Havránek. “That is why the discussion was quite specific and many practical experiences and proposed procedures were made.
Due to the upcoming winter season, the topic of maintenance and the question of increasing demand for the use of chemical treatment in the territories falling into the PLA was the center of interest. In addition, planting trees on regional roads, their treatment, annual new planting and resistance of trees towards winter maintenance were also addressed.
The big topic was the state of preparation of budgets of individual regional administrations for 2026, which is very closely related to declining financial support by the state. In recent years, individual regions could count on support from SFDI, which redistributed the finances from the 4 billion financial package. This year 2025 support decreased to half and next year in 2026 in the design of the SFDI budget item for repairs of regional roads II. and III. Unfortunately, the classes are not at all!
Nevertheless, the directors of the regional administration expect the state to find financial resources after this year's elections on regional roads. It is not possible to rely on the proclaimed proposal of the amendment to Act No. 243/2000 Coll. on the budget determination of taxes. Concerns are rightly, because the current SFDI budget design does not include the only item for repairing the roads that the SÚS manages.
Almost 1300 delegates visited the two -day road conference this year, which was hosted by Brno this year. 87 exhibitors and the organizer, the Czech Road Society, allowed participants to participate in almost sixty professional seminars.
