The aim of the Transport Telematics and Urban Engineering course is to expand the knowledge of course participants in the areas of current technology trends and procedures in the field of transport-telematics systems and urban engineering. The course is focused on the entire life cycle of transport-telematics systems, i.e. from their planning and design, through implementation and implementation, to operation and maintenance, including evaluation of the achieved benefits of such systems. Emphasis is also placed on explaining the necessary links between the fields of transport telematics, urban engineering, and spatial planning (urbanism) with the aim of achieving positive effects and prerequisites for sustainable mobility.
Course content:
• Expanding knowledge in the areas of current trends in the field of transport-telematics systems and urban engineering
• Planning and design
• Implementation and realization
• Operation, maintenance and security
• Evaluation of benefits achieved
• Emphasis on explaining the links between the areas of transport telematics, urban engineering and spatial planning (urbanism)
Application of knowledge from the course is expected for its graduates in particular in the following areas:
The course is designed as so-called upskilling. That is, with the intention of deepening the competences of its participants in defined areas. Another definition complements this is the effort to balance differences in skills and knowledge caused, for example, by age, digitization or another form of development of technologies, processes or legislation.
