Modern concrete and composites 2024: Successful conference attracted experts and students from all over the country
On 16 - 18. October 2024 took place at the Ski Hotel in Nové Město na Moravě ConferenceModern concrete and composites 2024, which was attended by 150 delegates from the academic and industrial sphere. The event, focused on current trends in construction, new materials and technologies, offered a rich program for experts and students.
The first day of the conference was dedicated to young researchers within the student conferenceModern concrete and composites 2024 junior. Students of building faculties presented the results of their dissertation here before an audience composed of experts and other students. In the competition for the best contribution, the participants chose the winners to whom they becameIng. Eliška Kafkováfrom the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague.

1st place: Ing. Eliška Kafková: Evaluation of shear strength at the interface of different types of concrete
2nd place: Ing. Karel Hurtig: Development of cement material for 3D printing
3rd place: Ing. Matěj Prudil: Study using neural networks for designing concrete recipes
The main meeting day of the conference took place on Thursday, October 17, when the conference was inaugurated by the Dean of the organizing Faculty of Civil Engineering in Pragueprof. Ing. Jiří Máca, CSc.. During the day there were contributions about the latest trends in construction, the impact of climate change on building materials, reinforcements and new innovative materials.
