In 2023, the World Road Congress of Piarc will take place in Prague, which is both the Czech Republic and the Czech Road Society. We try to pass this information to our information, as well as Slovak professional and political representation from the moment of election.
An important objective of the Czech road company is to promote the world road congress among the professional public, students of technical universities, secondary vocational schools, between political representation and representatives of individual municipalities. The driving force is the idea that this important professional event leaves its track in our environment for many more years, so that it is not a professional event that will take place in Prague in the Congress Center in the autumn of 2023 without much notice.
For these reasons, a set of virtual or hybrid conferences was launched on 19 May 2021 with the aim of promoting the world road congress among the professional public, the performance of the activities of the Piarc organization, including our representatives in the technical committees of Pairc. Each of the upcoming conferences is focused on specific regions and their activities in the areas of transport and road construction.
On Novotný footbridge in Prague, an improvised television studio technically perfectly secured by the C-IN organization was created. Due to the pandemic situation, the introductory conference was broadcast and realized on-line. It took place with the support of the South Moravian Region, the patronage of the event was taken over by the Governor of the South Moravian Region Mgr. Jan Grolich and deputy of the Czech Republic Mgr. Jiří Mihola. Professional topics of the conference were shielded by Brno communications a.s. and Center of Transport Research, v.v.i. Both organizations are closely linked to the South Moravian Region and have been cooperating with the Czech road company for a long time. Their representatives also represent us in the international field.
The Virtual Conference program was divided into two separate blocks. In the opening block, the Governor of the South Moravian Region Mgr. Jan Grolich, which was followed by Mgr. Jiří Mihola. The professional part was represented by the administrative director of Brno communications a.s. Ing. Roman Nekula, MBA with its contribution to the introduction of the C-ITS system in Brno. The chairman of the National Committee Ing. Vaclav Nevirt, CSc. with information about Piarc.
The second lecture block was opened by the CDV Director Ing. Jindřich Frič With the topic of road safety in the activities of the Piarc Technical Committees presented at the World Road Congress, which in the subsequent debate clearly showed how it is possible and effective to transfer foreign experience to our environment. Further information on the World Road Congress was presented by representatives of the C-IN organization in XXVII. World Road Congress in Prague and its contribution to the road industry in the Czech Republic. It is not possible to forget the performance of the 1st delegate of the Czech Republic Ing. Luděk Sosna, who commented on the role of the Ministry of Transport in obtaining the venue and preparing the World Congress. The conference ended with a moderated discussion and answers to received questions with the participation of representatives of ČSS and C-IN (Mondschein, Bartoš, Neuvirt, Šušák).
