XXVII. The World Congress Piarc in Prague ended. More than 4,000 delegates from 117 countries took part in it

After 5 days full of exhibitions, meetings, lectures and field visits in the field Today, the World Road Congress, organized in Prague organized by the World Road Association Piarc in Prague. The Czech Republic organized Congress for the second time in history. The whole event was attended by 4,250 delegates from 117 countries, at the accompanying exhibition in the Prague Congress Center, a record 35 national pavilions and more than 300 exhibitors per 3500 m2 of exhibition space. The congress was also attended by 1,750 students of construction and transport secondary and universities from all over the Czech Republic.

“Says Transport Minister Martin Kupka and adds: “I am also pleased that young students could participate in the congress and accompanying events. We have been struggling with the lack of students of building and traffic fields for a long time. Those who visited Congress could see that transport was a really diverse field full of great opportunities. I believe that at least some of them inspire the study and work paths. ”

The main topics of the congress were highway and road management, mobility, durable infrastructure and safety and sustainability, operation and maintenance. New topics such as carbon neutrality, autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure were also represented.

Congress also offered technical excursions to delegates. Thus, interested parties had the opportunity to see with their own eyes such buildings as tunnels on the city circuit in Prague or the advancing completion of the D4 motorway, which represents the first highway PPP project in the Czech Republic.

The Congress of the World Road Association took place in the Czech Republic for the second time in history. The next Congress will take place in 4 years in Canadian Vancouverat.
